Local Walks 1 or, as it is known to our ageing members, ‘Ambling with coffee!’, meets on the first Wednesday of each month.
Although most walks are arranged by Victor, members are encouraged to suggest walks or to organise them themselves.
We tend to walk locally, throughout the year, but sometimes extend our walks to Hanningfield and similar ‘within reach’ destinations.
Walks are generally no more then two miles, although sometimes a bit further, and we try to select walks where coffee and teacakes are available halfway round or at the end. I’m afraid that we have a strict rule that if you don’t like teacakes, you can't join us!
