The Thursday Petanque Group has been running successfully for a number of years now and has advanced to Club match standard by winning the Triples Tournament in both 2022 and 2023!
We play at White Hall bowls club where there are now two petanque rinks. New members can come and try petanque for a couple of games but, if they would like to continue to play, then it is necessary to join the Club at a cost of £20 per head per annum. In addition, £2 per head is payable for each game but this does include tea and biscuits if you wish. We play throughout the year unless the rink is covered in snow!
Although the Thursday U3A petanque group is full, we are now fully integrated with the Bowls Club and prospective players can contact Victor who will arrange for introductory lessons with a view to going on to full membership of the White Hall Club which will enable the playing of both petanque and short mat bowls.
